The snow we had on Sunday night has mostly melted now.
I think that was the first real storm we had this winter. We only got about 6″ but not to far to the west they got up to 11″ or so. Actually that was the first significant precipitation of any kind we have had in quite a few months and we had a bit of rain before the snow as well…

I don’t know how much that helped the lakes but it was the first time this year where I could hear trickling water as I walked in the woods, which is usually such a big part of spring but was noticeably absent from this one.

There was a lot of activity at the feeder Monday morning and the next couple mornings as well. I was glad I had bought that extra bag of seed in March… The Redpolls and Junckos were glad too…

I finished a door panel on Friday that I had been working on for sometime. Now I can work towards finishing and installing that project. Here are a couple pictures of the completed carving in its unfinished state. A few coats of varnish and it will be all set:
