I have been spending a lot of my daily sketch time on a small oil painting instead.
Seems like if I am going to try to learn more about oil painting skills, working small is a good way to get some finished projects behind me and if they don't work out, I won't have used quite as much time trying to figure it out.
This painting is done in a Blick studio canvas pad 12"x16". The actual painting is smaller, I just started on the page and it came out how it came out. I am not sure if I like the texture of the canvas especially for a smaller piece like this and I am thinking my next one I will go back to paper or a wood panel.
